Meet Our Providers
Jamelmenique Hoy, APRN, FNP-BC
Jamelmenique Hoy is a Family Nurse Practitioner, co-founder of Balanced Minds & Wellness, and has been a nurse since 2015. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Memphis in 2023.
Â
Her journey in healthcare has taken her through a variety of clinical settings, each shaping how she cares for her patients today. From fast-paced environments to more patient-centered care, she has seen what works and what doesn’t. One thing that has remained consistent is how often patients simply want to feel heard, understood, and not rushed.
Â
That understanding is what led to the creation of something different.
Â
Jamelmenique values real conversations and believes patients should fully understand what’s going on with their health. Her approach goes beyond quick visits and prescriptions, focusing instead on care that makes sense for each person’s life. She naturally looks at the bigger picture, recognizing that mental and physical health are deeply connected.
Â
Outside of healthcare, she is a mother of five boys, and much of her time is spent supporting them and being present in their everyday lives. From sports to day-to-day moments that matter most. She also enjoys photography, capturing meaningful moments and creativity outside of her clinical role. These experiences shape her perspective, teaching balance, patience, and the importance of making time for what matters.
Â
She believes healthcare should feel accessible, supportive, and realistic but not overwhelming.

Balanced Minds & Wellness was created to reflect that vision. Care that is intentional, supportive, and real.
